Ashley will be performing at her first writer's night at The Bluebird Cafe The Bluebird Cafe on February 10, 2013. The show will feature hit songwriter Karen Staley. She has written songs for artists such as Patty Loveless, The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Faith Hill, Dolly Parton, and LeAnn Rimes just to name a few.
Due to the popularity and high audience draw to The Bluebird Cafe, it is recommended that you be in line by 5:30pm if you want to attend the show. The early show goes from 6:30 - 7:30 and the writers night starts at 8pm.

I just booked my first show with Stageit on Monday August 13, 2012. This will be my first show on stage it, and I am excited to be able to close the distance gap between me and all of my fans everywhere - especially in Michigan! Feel free to ask me questions and make requests!

My song "It's Always Something" was recommended to the NSAI Evaluator Luncheon! I would be so honored if it made it to the quarterly "Pitch Publisher Luncheon" on December 1st! Please keep me in your prayers! This would be a huge step forward in my songwriting career! =)

We are packing up our minivan with music equipment, baby toys, clothing, diapers, and toothbrushes and officially moving to Nashville this coming week! :)

I am so excited to announce the arrival of our second son Ryker Joshua! He was born on Sunday July 17^th at 9:26am after a quick but intense 5 hour labor. He weighed 7lbs 14oz and was 21 inches long. It was a beautiful birth and a really blessed event for our family. I am looking forward to performing and making music for all of you again soon, but right now I am busy welcoming Ryker into our family! See you all again soon!

Due to a recent illness affecting her ability to sing, Ashley's performance at the Jackson Coffee Co. on Friday May 20th has been canceled. She has always enjoyed playing for everyone at the Jackson Coffee Co. and looks forward to scheduling another show in the near future.

Ashley will be performing a 90 minuted concert at the Cedar Springs High School Auditorium on Wednesday April 15th at 7:00pm.

100% of ticket sales will be donated directly to clubs and organizaions at the high school such as band, drama, and honors society among others.

Ashley's debut album "Beyond the Blue" will be available for purchase immediately after the show.

Ashley will be appearing on WOOD TV 8's morning show "Eight West" on Wednesday April 13th at 11:00am.

For those of you who don't know me, my name is Ashley. I like to call myself a singer/songwriter because that is what I do. I write and sing my own songs. Many people ask me, "Would you rather be an artist or a songwriter?" My answer: BOTH. I love both so much I couldn't imagine having to pick between the two. I grew up in West Michigan and many people have described my music as being "Northern Modern Country". I grew up listening to artists like Tanya Tucker, Jackson Browne, Martina McBride, LeAnn Rimes, Tom Petty, Guns and Roses, Celine Dion, Sheryl Crow, and Jewel. I never really got into the whole "Nsync" and "Backstreet Boys" bubble gum pop of the late 90's. While my friends where rehearsing the dance moves to Nsync's "Bye Bye Bye", I was engrossed in the lyrics of "The Pretender". Yes. I was a strange girl. :) I spent most of my time with my brother, Zack, preparing for our next performance and recording our weekly hour long radio show on 106.3wcsg. When I was about 15, I picked up the acoustic guitar, started songwriting, and never looked back. There have been many bumps in the road along my musical journey and these experiences have helped shape the artist and person I am today. I have been so blessed to have such loving family and friends in my life. I am also blessed to have such loyal listeners who have continued to show an interest in my music and have continued to come to my performances throughout the years. I write honest songs about real life. I feel that the most fulfilling part of being a musician is not the cheering crowd or having a #1 hit on the radio; it is causing someone to get tears in their eyes and chills up their arms because a song touched them in such a significant way. That is my goal. If I haven't touched you yet, I hope to do so in the future. God gave us gifts to do good things and I hope to do good with the gifts he has given me.
